The Spring Music Festival will start with a kick-off concert at one of Ontario's biggest live music venues, Seventy Seven, on Thursday, May 8th, 2003. The following night, the Festival will start with opening activities at the STAR CLUB. With participation from all other venues, there will be nearly 100 performers over three nights, with many headlining acts. |

As part of our talent initiative, the Festival organizers intend on working in partnership with a number of music acts from across North America, with the intent of assisting them to develop a fan base and network within Hamilton. Each band will be encouraged to perform in Hamilton no less than three times leading up to the Festival during our Pre-Festival Showcases (likely at the same venue each time). Event organizers will offer organizational and media support. |

The Spring Music Festival aspires to become a significant event for Hamilton and the surrounding communities. Its mandate is to showcase Hamilton as a premiere live music market, stimulating economy, recognizing talent, and promoting a social atmosphere. Hamilton can become one of the most important secondary markets in Canada for live music. With our media partners alongside, we expect this to be a high-visibility event, and invite you to contact us with any inquiries that you might have. |

Whether you are with a band a national music company, or local business, this is your opportunity to get involved in one of Canada's best music marketing initiatives. And to help build momentum for the event, we have developed the "Pre-Festival Showcase", a concert series designed with many purposes in mind. Primarily it is to provide selected bands the opportunity to showcase their music prior to the big event, to showcase and heighten awareness for the participating venues, and to build momentum towards the event in May.
The remaining Pre-Festival Showcases are available for sponsorship and will be fully supported with radio, print and television buys. |
